As we previously announced, the scheduled intermittent, overnight closures of the Airport’s Main Runway resume tonight, beginning at 9:45 p.m.

The closures are necessary while crews perform preventative maintenance and construction.

From August to October, Main Runway 14R/32L at King County International Airport/Boeing Field will be closed overnight from Thursday night through Sunday night, into the following mornings.

Here is a full schedule of the closures:

Aug. 9-Oct. 15

  • Thursday: 9:45 p.m. to 3:15 a.m.
  • Friday: 9:45 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Saturday: 9:45 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • Sunday: 9:45 p.m. to 5 a.m.

During these closures, KCIA’s Utility Runway 14L/32R will remain open. Operations on that runway are limited to aircraft weighing 12,500 pounds or less.
